“Our task is to put Kharkiv into “Top-100 of the world cities” by 2030 and it is real and reachable aim for us”, - the mayor of Kharkiv Gennady Kernes admitted.
Gennady Kernes made such a declaration on the 30th of September during the III International investment forum “Innovations. Investments. Kharkiv initiatives”.
The mayor of Kharkiv admitted that during that year the view of Kharkiv was changed in a better way more than during the last ten years.
“Kharkiv put conducting of system transferring to the European image and modernization in all the areas of life as an aim. The temps of developing and changing of modern Kharkiv are very high indeed», - Gennady Kernes said.
He admitted that visitors like the President of UEFA Michel Platini, the Ambassador of USA John Tefft, ambassadors of foreign countries admitted the dynamics of Kharkiv development. And the kharkovites themselves see it and “their development to live and work in Kharkiv revives”.
“Kharkiv is reviving. Kharkiv is greeting European standards. Kharkiv is aimed to development, – Gennady Kernes underlined. – Kharkiv is one of few million cities which population is increasing constantly”.
Also the mayor of Kharkiv said that there was the partnership between the government and private investors set in Kharkiv. Gennady Kernes admitted that the International airport “Kharkiv” was an example of effective cooperation of state and private partnership.
“Starting with 2006 the amount of direct foreign investments onto Kharkiv economics increased more than in three times – from 791 million USD in 2006 to almost 2?5 billion USD on the II half of 2011”, - the mayor of Kharkiv informed.
