“All the problem issues of Kharkiv health care system the power of the city keeps under scrutiny and aims to remove them in priority order”, - a deputy of the mayor of Kharkiv on the questions of health care and social protection of people Svetlana Gorbunova-Ruban underlined at the press conference on the occasion o fthe Day of Health Care Professionals which took place on the 15th of June in the press center of Kharkiv city council.
Among the main problem issues in the area of medicine Svetlana Gorbunova-Ruban marked the necessity of repairing of the buildings of medical treatment facilities and shortage of professional staff.
Information. Now a wide net of medical treatment and prophylaxis facilities which provide a highly qualified hospital help to adult and minor population with a fund of 7620 beds works in the city.
The outpatient help to the population is provided by 24 polyclinic institutions, 10 of them work for children.
To increase the quality of providing highly qualified medical help to the population of the city there were created 22 city specialized centers (pulmonology, arthrology center of conservative treatment, diagnostics and treatment of arterial hypertension; maxillofacial and reconstructive surgery; children neurosurgery; peracute cerebrovascular pathology and others).
