On the 17th of June there was a presentation of the economical potential of the twin city Tienjin (CPR) and the companies which participate in the business-mission in a small hall of Kharkiv city council.
The deputy of the mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China in Tienjin Mrs. Yan Lanfang took part in the presentation. The representatives of Kharkiv city council and the state regional administration and heads of the leading industrial enterprises of Kharkiv and Tienjin took part in consideration of prospects of mutually profitable cooperation.
The aim of presentation is developing of direct contacts between Kharkiv and Tienjin enterprises for further cooperation.
The official delegation and business-mission of the twin city Tienjin headed by , the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China in Tienjin Mrs. Yan Lanfang stayed in Kharkiv since the 16th till the 18th of June.
Information. Tienjin is a very important regional transport unit and e center of auto, petrochemical, metallurgical and electronic industry, it is also the biggest industrial center of the North of the country. Tienjin zone of economics and technology development is one of the most competitive in China. There are 13500 enterprises in the city now, which are founded on foreign investments and ownership capital. The investments of the group of world famous enterprises are concentrated in Tienjin seashore region, the heart of which is Tienjin district of new techniques and economy mastering and Tienjin port zone of protecting fee. This region is a zone of wide openness to the outer world and the largest source of economics increasing of Tienjin.
Tienjin is a transport pass to the sea for more than ten of the north provinces and cities. It owns Tienjin port which is the biggest artificial port on the North of China. About 30 sea lines connect it with more than 300 international ports, it is an important artery in the transcontinental bridge Asia-Europe.
The treaty of twin connections between the cities Kharkiv and Tienjin was signed in 1993.
