Ihor Terekhov was elected Vice President of the First Bureau of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Mayors Forum Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov has been elected Vice President of the Bureau of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe’s Mayors’ Forum for 2023/2024.

The Bureau of the Forum of Mayors was established on January 13, 2023, by the decision of the 126th Executive Committee of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and is a subsidiary body of the Committee on Urban Development, Housing, and Land Management.

According to the Department for Interaction with International Agencies and Financial Institutions, as Vice President, Ihor Terekhov, together with UNECE, will participate in the organization of the Mayors’ Forum, which is scheduled to be held on October 2-3, 2023 in Geneva (Switzerland).

The UNECE Mayors’ Forum is the largest international platform for continuous exchange of experience and mutual learning where mayors from Europe, North America, Central Asia, and the Caucasus present their best practices for solving problems in their cities. Cities share best practices in the areas of housing construction, urban transport development, digitalization, ecology, etc.
