Bicycle tracks will appear in Kharkiv

City authorities work out the possibility of constructing bicycle tracks in Kharkiv.

Gennadiy Kernes, the mayor informed about it during the Internet conference on October, 26.

He noted that they consider it while planning and building new housing complexes. But it is difficult to develop the construction of bicycle tracks in microdistricts that already exist. «But we will try to find the way out, we work hard in this direction», - the mayor told.

In addition Gennadiy Kernes emphasized that along with the construction of bicycle tracks it is necessary to change the mindset of people. «It is necessary that car owners wouldn’t park their cars on the tracks, respect bike riders as the road users. I think it will take more than one year to change it», - the mayor added.
