The Presidium meeting of Association of towns awarded with the Europe Prize will be held in Kharkiv Kharkiv won the right to hold the Presidium meeting of Association of towns awarded with the Europe Prize.
 
The deputy of Kharkiv mayor in questions of development and maintenance of the city Igor Terekhov informed about it on May, 3. The decision was made in German city Wurzburg where the General Assembly of Association of towns awarded with the Europe Prize took place. All in all it included 72 cities.
 
As a part of the event Kharkiv took part in the Presidium meeting of Association among 11 other cities. "During the meeting we discussed the question of another presidium meeting that is to be held in October 2013. They were choosing between Kharkiv and French Nancy, and with the benefit of four votes we won! Ankara, Katowice, Czestochowa and other cities casted a vote for us. Consequently another Presidium meeting of the Association of towns awarded with the Europe Prize will be held in Kharkiv," - Igor Terekhov marked.
 
Note. Association of towns awarded with the Europe Prize was founded on March, 25 1984 in Udine (Italy). The organization is a voluntary association of the towns awarded with the Europe Prize. Its aim is to establish close relations between the members of the organization. At least once a year the members of association meet in one of the cities awarded with the Europe Prize. The meeting is an opportunity to exchange the experience and widen cooperation. The main emphasis is laid on promoting the ideas of European unity and international understanding.
