A traditional charity event within “Day of Happiness” action in Ukraine passed on the 13th of November in Kharkiv.
In “McDonalds” restaurant at Rosa Luksemburg square a charity action “Day of Happiness” which has been held in Ukraine since 2002 passed.
This year it passed in the period from the 1st to the 30th of November and it was spent in 21 cities of Ukraine.
As the action organizers noticed the means collected from hearts and trinkets will be aimed for 26 children hospitals all over Ukraine needs to buy medical equipment for prematurely born children.
The official part of the event was opened by the deputy of the mayor of Kharkiv Svetlana Gorbunova-Ruban.
“I would like to thank “McDonalds” company on behalf of the mayor of Kharkiv Gennady Kernes. Children with weight starting from 500g are nursed in our city perinatal center. It is a hard work, which needs precise and neat equipment. And our participation in this action allows us to feel our belonging to this important action”, - the deputy of the mayor of Kharkiv admitted.
She also adjusted that according to the recommendation of the mayor of Kharkiv the city perinatal center was included into program of medical equipment providing within the charity action “Day of Happiness in Ukraine” that year.
Let us remind that during the action visitors of the restaurants are able to contribute into a good deed of help to children. Besides that this day famous people, sport and show-business stars and public persons visit “McDonalds” restaurants to attract social attention to needs of children.
