Kharkiv dolphinarium held free dolphin therapy session

Free dolphin therapy session was held on October,18 in Kharkiv dolphinarium «Nemo».

The residents from all the districts and handicapped children along with their parents visited the show. Kharkiv city mayor, Gennadiy Kernes also visited the event.

«Everyone who works in the dolphinarium does good job. Health is the most important and most valuable, especially for future generation. And it is really important that today we are united with one purpose and solution of common problem for the benefit of children. It is great that in Kharkiv, in the city without the sea live wonderful animals who give us opportunity to return normal life to children», - Gennadiy Kernes emphasized.

Let’s specify that since 2010 free courses of dolphin therapy have been provided to handicapped children as a part of social agreement partnership between Kharkiv regional state administration, Kharkiv city council and Kharkiv dolphinarium «Nemo». Since 2011 free courses of dolphin therapy have been held as a part of municipal Promotion programme for secure life activity in the social security sphere of Kharkiv citizens. For the last two years handicapped children took more than 100 free courses of dolphin therapy. In the opinion of the experts who watch these children their state improved.

Doctors note that dolphin therapy method enjoys wide popularity due to its unique impact on psychoemotional and physical health of person especially if it is a child.
