Kharkiv city council and German Society of International Cooperation have signed the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation today, on the 7th of February.
The document was signed for the aims of “Fair Play” project of the National company “Let’s Do It Together” and UEFA/FIFA project “Respect Your Health”. Their common purpose is health life propaganda among youth, teenagers and children and prevention of HIV infection spreading. The audience of the project consists of girls and boys from 12 to 20 all over Ukraine. Kharkiv schoolchildren and students of the State Academy of Physical Culture which are in the HIV spreading risk category are going to participate in the project. 21 educational and sports institutions of the city all together are participating in the project. There will be football trainings on their base, schools will receive sports equipment and necessary equipment for children.
“About 80 thousand UAH were given for the school equipment. There are counters, shirt-fronts, balls and other things among the equipment. A lot of these things are not connected to football, but help develop children physical abilities”, - Eugeny Stolitenko, the UEFA/FIFA project “Respect Your Health” coordinator noticed.
The project is an important part of German and Ukrainian cooperation within preparing our country for EURO-2012 on football. The “Fair Play” project is financed by the German government. The German Society of International Cooperation has an experience of similar projects in South Africa durinf the World Championship on Football in 2010.
