The charity fund of Alexander Feldman presented a four-months lion cub Richie to Kharkiv zoo.
The mayor of Kharkiv Gennady Kernes, People Deputies Valery Pisarenko and Alexander Feldman and the Chairman of a supervisory council of the fund Boris Feldman.
“Al the children make wishes before the New Year and wait for their verification. The kids will be glad to communicate to our “Friars Minor” owing to Valery Pisarenko, Alexander and Boris Feldman”, - the mayor of Kharkiv admitted.
Alexander Feldman told of his “childhood spent in the zoo”.
“I know each corner, each tree, each animal here. Altogether, I mean – all the khirkovites – we must change the situation in Kharkiv zoo. It must become not just the best in Ukraine; it must approach the European level. We are not worse of the other cities, and our children are worth to enjoy the best of the zoo”, - he admitted.
The director of the zoo Aleksey Grigoryev admitted that the House of the Young Naturalist was built in the zoo owing to the municipality and by that time it had been considered the best both in Ukraine and in Europe.
“Today, when a new inhabitant arrived to this palace, it is a real holiday for us. And it will due for several years. His first year in the zoo the lion cub is going to spend with young animals, then he will make his own family with the young lionesses living in the zoo. The young naturalists who accepted this gift will take care of the new member of our family”, - Aleksey Grigoryev assured.
Valery Pisarenko admitted that Kharkiv had received not just a new animal in the zoo but a new citizen of the city. “All the children know who is the king of the animals – of course, it is a lion. When Richie grow up a little the kids who will grow up to will memorize how they cared of him. Let us wish him to become a real king of the zoo”, - Pisarenko noticed.
