As Natalia Mayorova, the administrator of “Maidans” project in Kharkiv, admitted, 416 people who presented Kharkiv in two dance performances participated in last live broadcasting.
“The guys represented themselves in a “choreographer performance” which was called “Romeo and Juliette”. Amador Lopez as the main character represented the Fate and joined deceased Romeo and Juliette in heavens. “A number of the year” became an outstanding event of the live broadcasting. It was a picturesque performance the theme of which was friendship between Ukraine and Brasil. Everything was bright: from costumes to choreography. There was a lot of stage equipment. Kharkiv factories made costumes for the dancers.The interesting point was that both Ukrainian and Brasilian folk dances were used. I am sure that Lviv also voted us becous we represented the western Ukraine in our performance”, - Natalia Mayorova admitted.
She also admitted that the low marks of some of the jury members made the viewers give their preferences to Kharkiv, because there were no doubts in professionalism and readiness of our city.
“The results of sms-voting tell of the good taste of Ukrainian viewers. We are very grateful to the mayor of Kharkiv Gennady Kernes for his huge support. Owing to him and to Kharkiv city council our guys had a wonderful repetition ground, good security and a team of doctors which accompanied us during our visit to Kiev. There were two nurses, a surgeon and a children therapist who observed the guys in a train twice and worked during the broadcasting. Our ambulance car was on duty during the team performance. The team “Starmedia” thanked us for providing good conditions for the team during the broadcasting preparing and live air”, - the administrator of “Maidans” project in Kharkiv added.
She also informed that Amador Lopez conducted repetitions of Kharkiv maidancers before the last air every day during last two weeks. Also the committee of parents and 12 administrators support the team constantly.
“There is no organization of the process anywhere as we have in Kharkiv. We have very strict demands and discipline. It is prohibited to smoke and say obscenity words. Everyone watches the rules including the junior school teachers which are the direct members of the team”, - the project administrator explained.
According to the words of Natalia Mayorova the youngest participant o fthe project is Anita, who is seven. He eldest, Dmitry, is 47.
A mother with many children Natalia Kharkovska also continues her participation in the project. During the repetitions period she bore a third child Sasha.
“Natasha did not participate in semifinal, but she will definitely dance with us in the final. And I would like to add that Amador Lopez and me became god-parents of Sasha, - the administrator of the project told. – we all became a family indeed and we became very close. Besides that Amador Lopez praised each participant, parent and administrator of the project with certificate of honor which we called “a medal of Maidans”. It was a personal thanksgiving of the choreographer to each of us. And it is mutual. This man shares his energy with each of us and he always starts the repetitions with the words: “Kharkiv, I love you”.
Natalia Mayorova informed that the total amount of the participants registered for the project starting with the first season was 6,5 thousand people. Almost half of the participants dancing this season are the guys participated in the first season of Maidans.
“The demands according to the amount of participants in the final battle have not been known yet. But we have a reserve. This season about 2 thousand people are registered from Kharkiv”, - the administrator of the project added.
The viewers are going to define the dance capital of Ukraine on the 22nd of October. The teams of Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhya are going to participate in the final broadcasting. Two more participants will be defined during two next live airs.
