The number of bitten by stray animals in Kharkiv reduced 1331 citizen bitten by stray animals sought medical advice during the last 6 months what is much less comparing to the last year.
 
Irina Zubkova, the chief sanitary officer of Kharkiv told about it during the press conference in the city council. According to her, cases of rabies are not registered among people, all the people who were bitten are vaccinated.
 
Irina Zubkova noted that six animals infected with the rabies were caught for the first 6 months of the 2012. People who contacted them were vaccinated. Besides, people who were bitten or slobbered by stray animals were vaccinated as well.
 
The chief sanitary officer also informed that Kharkiv has no problems with the rabies vaccine.
