The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany in Ukraine Hans-Jorgen Haimziott told this during his meeting with the mayor of Kharkiv Gennady Kernes on the 6th of October.
“We would like our supernumerary consul to work in Kharkiv. We have our Consul General in Donetsk which area of competence includes Kharkiv, but there will be a honorary consul in Kharkiv in addition. Recently we have given an application to MFA, and the work at it will take some time”, - admitted Hans-Jorgen Haimziott.
He did not name the future consul but admitted that it would be a woman.
