Presentation of the project “Subway Poetry” will occur on the 14th of January (beginning at 15.00) in Kharkiv literature museum.
Employees of the literature museum initiated the project. Kharkiv poets are going to read winter theme poems including Ney Year and Christmas at the presentation. In particular Sergey Zhadan, Victor Boyko, Rostislav Melnikov, Anatoly Pererva, Olena Rybka, Katherine Karunyk and others are going to participate in the presentation.
The first part of the project “Subway Christmas Poetry” was started in December of last year: placards with the poems of Ukrainian poets and information of the exhibition “Christmas miracle” in Literature museum were placed in the carriages of Kharkiv subway with a support of Department of culture of Kharkiv city council. Each passenger got a possibility to read Christmas poetry by Bohdan Igor Antonych, Lina Kostenko, Bohdan Lepky.
As it was informed in the literature museum, there would be a presentation of cycles devoted to St. Valentine’s day and the Easter. It is planned that during those presentations poets would read their verses at Kharkiv subway stations directly.
