On January 31, an ‘invincibility point’ was opened in the dormitories of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.
It is equipped with generators, a booster stove and beds, a kitchen and toilets, internet and drinking water. The area of the ‘invincibility point’ is 800 square metres, and it can accommodate up to 200 people.
According to the rector of Yaroslav Mudryi National University Anatolii Hetman, about 70 students, fifty teachers with their families who lost their homes, and a large number of internally displaced persons are currently living in the dormitories.
‘We help everyone because we are one big Ukrainian family. We cannot close our doors to anyone, because we have to support each other in these difficult times,’ the rector of the university said.
In his turn, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov thanked everyone who suggested and supported the initiative to open another ‘point of invincibility’ in the City.
‘Opening another location where Kharkiv residents can keep warm, drink hot tea, and recharge their phones is very important for us. I would like to thank everyone who participated in the creation of this ‘point of invincibility’ on behalf of myself and all Kharkiv citizens,’ said Ihor Terekhov.
