Municipal services are not involved in shooting homeless animals in Kharkiv The municipal services are not involved in cruel shooting homeless dogs in the area of Pavlovo Pole on the 9th of February.

Yulia Shapovalova, the director of the municipal enterprise “Center of Animal Caring” informed of it today, on the 13th of February.
Some media sources informed of the matter that unknown people shot several homeless dogs on Pavlovo Pole area. Some editions proposed that the municipal services had been involved.
This information is untrue and has no foundation just because of the fact that the municipal workers have never had any guns.
“If they have to immobilize a dog, they use special nets or injector machines made in Britain, Holland, Denmark etc. which are used all over Europe. They do not have and can not have any guns. And it is impossible to wound an animal so badly with an injector. The municipality has no connection to the incident”, - Yulia Shapovalova admitted.
She also informed that the Department of housing maintenance of Kharkiv city council applied militia on the incident.
“It is a crime, and those people who are guilty in it must be found and punished in order not to allow such  inhuman behavior with animals in our city”, - Yulia Shapovalova told.
