The mayor of Kharkiv Gennady Kernes lent support in curing the fireman Eugene Kozimenko who had suffered seriously during the fire-fighting operation in Balakleysky district of Kharkiv region.
Now Eugeny Kizimenko is staying in the department of anesthesiology and intensive care of Kharkiv city clinical hospital of emergency aid.
When Gennady Kernes had got to know of the accident he asked to by all the medications necessary for curing.
“We have bought the medications with total value of 10 thousand UAH, hemodialysis medications in particular. The support was given on the personal cost of the mayor”, - the deputy of the mayor on the issues of health care and social politics Svetlana Gorbunova-Ruban admitted.
As Aslan Tsogoyev, the head of burns unit, noticed, the given medications were enough to repeat a complete hemodialysis course which consists of 10-12 procedures.
The state of the fireman is extremely hard now, there have been no significant mends. “Eugene has burns of 25% of the body surface, his right hand is broken, there are also plenty of other injuries. Today he is having the third operation of skin transplantation. He receives blood products, he was joint to the kidney machine. We are fighting for his life”, - Aslan Tsogoyev admitted.
According to the approximate prognosis of the doctors, Eugene will suffer three more surgeries.
