Economics

A base of Kaunas industry is machinery, radio techniques, electronics and metal working. The plant “Pergam” products sheep mechanisms for refrigerators; the machinery plant named by Y. The textile industry is represented by the following enterprises: large knitting factories “Cotton” and “Silova”. 14 scientific and research and project institutes work at solving the problems of industry and building in areas of thermophisics of high temperatures, cybernetics, energy etc.
